"never had a bad experience until today. literally no one in the restaurant and yes we were a bigger party but this waitress acted like she had never served a day in her life. so slow, forgot our orders multiple times, rude and very unprofessional. Food was alright when we ACTUALLY got it."

"Hwy 190 rolls is the family fav. However, volcano # 2 delish. I have dined in and got it to go. Food is always good. However, any substitutes or questions are not always received well. The main management can be rude at times. However, the staff is always good, patient, and kind."

"Very quick service and the appetizer was out pretty quickly. I had the crab puffs for appetizers and they were huge pieces. Normally you get small pieces and these definitely worth it for the price. For the entree I had the Volcano Roll #2. It was also good, huge portions once again and I was not able to finish the entire roll."

"Went for dinner (5pm) on a Saturday. Not busy at all- about 3 other tables dinning during our time there. Overall, okay just have had better quality food a other similar places nearby. Open everyday by 11am. Closes 930pm except Friday & Saturday (10pm) Pros: comfortable, friendly service, prices are okay Cons: given wrong food, underseasoned hibachi/steak/noodles, unattentive service, menu is confusing Location: next to oyo hotel. Noticeable from main highway. Very small building with small parking lot. Atmosphere: dim lighting. Tables and booths available (tables seat up to 6, booths seat 4 adults comfortably). Seemed clean. No noticeable odors. No torn seats. Service: friendly but a little unattentive. Went without refills and requested items went forgotten. Some confusion about menu items. Food came out at a decent speed. Menu: recommend looking on their facebook page for most up to date menu. A good variety but we found it confusing because it lists sushi on 3 different pages- the last 2 pages have descriptions of the sushi but that 1st page doesn't. Even when reading those descriptions, we still weren't really sure what we were getting. This menu felt incomplete really. For example, #15 appetizer ika maruyaki doesn't even finish the description "whole Japanese squid grilled with." Food: overall, okay. Nothing super spectacular. We typically go to a place in leesville and we were hopeful that this place would be as good or better to save on the gas. We ordered: crab rangoon ($5 for 6)- large, good, and hot; steak with noodles ($15)- no flavor/seasoning, noodles a little under done; baton rouge roll ($10 for 8 pieces)- needed more sauce and the tempura batter was super thin, it was decent; deridder roll ($11 for 8 pieces)- was given wrong item and even after corrected to right filling it wasn't fried (it said it was fried on menu). They also serve soup/ramen, other sushi rolls, hibachi items. Prices: they seemed okay. Most appetizers were $5+, hibachi for dinner was $13+, sushi was $10+."

"Really good! So glad to find local sushi that tastes good! The specialty rolls were HUGE! Everything tasted fresh and amazing. Tried a variety of different sushis and I was not disappointed. I'm really into the raw fish rolls and they were all top-notch. Service was awesome and attentive. Cannot figure out why the parking lot was empty. This place was as good as I expected it to be for an american-japanese sushi place. Will definitely be my go-to spot for sushi cravings."

"I have found some dishes here very good, and other dishes here very bad. I have also noticed sometimes the Seafood is very fishy here, to the point where I don't even eat my food. so I've learned not to even order certain products from here, for example, I used to love the volcano roll number 2 but half the time it would be so fishy I just could not stomach it would taste so fishy and awful, wish this Kyoto's could compete with the Kyoto's Lake Charles, but it has zero chances, of being as good!! I will say the Bento boxes here are good, and it has not failed me yet, so I'll just continue only to order that. Also recommend getting a Bento Box at lunch time because it's only $11.99 versus $16.99 at dinner time."
